I am a retired educator with a major in psychology from THE University of Alabama. I am from Mobile, Alabama and have lived here sipping mint juleps under a magnolia tree most of my life except for my five years (party plan) in college. I worked for 45 years after college; 15 as a high school administrator,18 teaching psychology and history, 4 adjunct teaching all beginning with 8 years in banking fresh out of college with a B.S. in psychology.
My interest is life stories with all the ups and downs, pains and joys, successes and failures we all have on our journey in life.
I have written in some form since high school. Diaries, journals, creative writing classes, newspaper articles, letters and correspondence are a regular hobby. Having traveled extensively, I have a photo history of my travels, my life, and my family.
I am a social historian. I love to edit stories you have written. Grammar and structure are corrected while keeping your style and tone. I have written memoirs and biographies filled with facts and personal stories. I interview the subject for hours and any relevant other people before taking pen to paper. I include personal details rather than narrative non-fiction. I love freelance editing memoirs. I enjoy writing humorous travel articles and dark comedy non-fiction. I love Chritian stories. Any of these styles can be incorporated into the life story you want preserved.
